An Amazing Turn Out At Barugh Green Light Switch On

Well today was the day, Santa was in town to switch on the lights at Barugh Green Primary School here in Barnsley. The UK Christmas World team headed up to the school with the man himself as he surprised the kids by turning up in his sleigh with a helping hand from Hallam FM's Cash For Kids Mission Christmas Elf and Rudolph. 

With over 200 highly excited kids in the school fields Santa waved and greeted the school children followed by an impressive sing along with the children and the teachers to some popular Christmas carols. The big moment finally came after an impressive countdown from all involved, the lights were on and Christmas has officially here in Barugh Green!

Next on his busy agenda was to wave goodbye to the kids and get back on his special sleigh and take the short trip down the road to the UK Christmas World Winter Wonderland where families from the community are piling in to meet Santa.
